Despite all the hardships, she got her Bachelor of Commerce degree, became a CPA and had a career as a CFO, auditor, tax accountant, etc., but most importantly, she educated herself how to be financially literate. When she got married, she and her husband started their lives together with $60,000 of debt (student loans, car loans, etc.). They managed to pay all of that off including their mortgage within 8 years. She was debt free at 32 year of age. Afterwards they continued implementing good financial habits and they became millionaires shortly after that.
At that time their kids were four and two years old. After learning that financial literacy is not being taught in schools, Maya realized that she had to teach their kids to be money smart. That is how her company was born, and for almost 10 years she has been helping parents raise financially independent adults. Maya’s vision is to educate every child to become a financially independent adult. Check out her website (www.dinarii.com) for the free masterclasses and find out about her Wealthy Kids Investment Club that teaches families how to become successful investors.

Melissa is an entrepreneur, blogger, and the single mom of a 10-year-old son named Aidan. She retired from General Motors after 17 years of service for medical reasons. She viewed it as a blessing in disguise because she wanted to be completely hands-on with raising her son.
She started her entrepreneur journey by creating a business with her mom and sister sewing, crocheting, designing T-shirts and accessories called Proverbial Collections. They’ve also created and hosted events like vendor and pop-up shows, and ‘You Inspire Me’ which was an event to encourage women to go after their dreams and celebrate themselves along the way.
In the early part of her motherhood journey, Melissa suffered from depression as a result of being a solo parent, unhealthy relationships, not dealing with the death of her father, and the broken relationship they had before his passing. These experiences helped birth her passion for supporting single moms and women as well as helping them healthily navigate through challenges and life situations. She enjoys providing encouragement and inspiration to women in need. She has been blessed to connect with a multitude of amazing women who have helped push her to work at being her best.
Melissa runs a blog about her single motherhood journey in hopes that it serves as an avenue of encouragement for others as well as a creative and cathartic outlet for herself.
